Ottawa’s famous Canadian Tulip Festival begins tomorrow and runs until May 21, 2018. Our city is so proud to host this festival every year and we welcome millions of tourists to see the beautiful tulips that we receive from The Netherlands each year. There is so much going on over the next two weeks….something for everyone to enjoy our most famous festival!
Taking place throughout the City at Lansdowne Park, Commissioners Park at Dow’s Lake, the Garden Promenade and the Byward Market…not to mention Gatineau…there is a ton to see and do! Experience arts, cultures, music, food, horticulture, history, shopping and more. The 2018 theme celebrates World Friendship with many highlights of different nations throughout the globe including The Netherlands, Turkey, China, India and more. We also celebrate our veterans, seniors and of course…mothers!
A few of the events we are most excited for include the Vernissage Tulipe, Victoria Day Weekend Fireworks, Eat Drink Spring on the Farm and Princess Tulip Sculpture.
Even if you don’t want to buy tickets to any of the special events, visiting one of the many gardens is a MUST…they are amazing to stroll through and great for photo ops. Be sure to use the festival’s hashtags #Cdntulipfest and #worldoftulips to ensure that everyone can see how amazing our City and this festival is.
