Ottawa House Prices Climb 7.2% in 2017

Overall throughout the city, house prices rose 7.2% last year with the majority of the momentum being found in the west end and the best bargains being found in the east end. This is not surprising with the upward momentum in the west end being attributed to the new DND campus and the Kanata Hi-Tech Corridor.

The average sale price for a single family home was $403,900. The market was a seller’s market with limited inventory, a trend which we still see happening now. The condominium market showed a 13.2%.

We are looking forward to an exciting 2018. Let us know if you have any question at all at anytime.
