The May long weekend is upon us! Ottawa has lots of events to offer this week and weekend for you and the whole family to enjoy. Festival season has officially begun with the opening of the Canadian Tulip Festival but that’s not all our great City has to offer.
OHS Garden Party – there is still time left to get tickets to the Humane Society’s favourite event of the year. For $125 you can support the humane society and enjoy meals from the best chefs/restaurants in Ottawa along with delicious beverages. Taking place tomorrow May 16th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Lansdowne Horticulture Building.
National Dressage Festival – taking place on Thursday May 17 this event is perfect for horse and equestrian lovers! The international equestrian competition runs from Thursday to Sunday and features all classes of dressage across five show rings at Wesley Clover Parks. This event has FREE admission and FREE parking.
The Royal ParTEA at the Tulip Festival – taking place on Friday May 18 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, this event is hosted by Health and Charity as a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. Bring your friends and indulge in an afternoon of tea, coffee, sandwiches, and lovely cakes, amongst tens of thousands of potted spring tulips, tulip artwork, and photography galleries. Tickets are $75.
Ottawa Fiddle and Dance Competition – taking place in Richmond all weekend long! Enjoy our weekend of Fiddling and Step Dancing May 19th and 20th in Richmond, Ontario Camping available on site! Experience our Canadian Heritage with performers of all ages, all experiences, all levels. Make us your home for the Victoria long weekend.
Kanata-March Horticultural Society Plant Sale – taking place on Saturday May 19th, this sale offers some of the best plants the west end of Ottawa has to offer. Be sure to stop by St. Isadore’s Church on March Road to check it out.
The Canadian Tulip Festival – this one goes without an explanation but be sure not to miss it before it closes on May 21.
