Ottawa’s Top Events this Weekend

The World Remembers – Taking place at the Government Conference Centre at 2 Rideau Street and having begun Wednesday, this will run for a full month until November 11. To mark the centenary of World War I, the names of all 680,000 killed in the war will be projected in light on the conference centre in remembrance. Art in the Dark – Taking place at Russell High School from 4:30 to 10:00 on Saturday, this event is in support of deaf blindness and allows you to experience the artistic process while undergoing sensory deprivation to gain more of an understanding about what deaf blindness is. A unique experience sure to expand your understanding. Tickets are $50.

Brian Law Opera Competition – Taking place Saturday at 7:00 pm at the Southminster United Church, finalists of this year’s Brian Law Opera Competition will compete to take home the grand prize. An amazing opportunity for anyone interested in opera. Tickets are $20 and $5 for student.
