The Marlborough Pub in North Gower

Carole and I had a great morning in North Gower yesterday! We first hosted a tour of our listing at 6724 Farmstead Ridge….which is exactly where it is, on a ridge, the highest peak in the village of North Gower, with unobstructed views of the sunrise and sunset all year round. Carole and I both just love this home, you walk in and feel immediately at peace with its clear pride of ownership, sunny rooms and updates. The backyard is a tranquil spot with loads of privacy, great entertaining areas and a saltwater pool! We could have stayed there all day…or forever! We did, however, have to vacate at noon so decided to have lunch at the new Marlborough Pub just around the corner from the house.

The pub is in a great building, reminiscent of the country living of days past, and is bustling with activity. You feel as if the whole village lunches here daily. Greeted warmly, we were quickly given a table and offered drinks. The menu has lots of options including a section with classic pub fare (fish and chips, shepherd’s pie etc.). Carole and I both chose from the specials board. I had a vegetable and chicken sandwich on perfectly toasted rye bread and Carole had the pulled pork. We both enjoyed our meals! And we really both enjoyed our morning/afternoon in North Gower which is so much closer than we realized to Kanata….15 minutes down Eagleson Road and you’re there! Be sure to have a look at our beautiful listing: http://evansteamottawa.com/listings/6724-farmstead-ridge-north-gower/
