Market Update: Ottawa’s Top Neighbourhoods

As we saw throughout the year in 2018, homes in Ottawa’s outlying neighbourhoods were a popular commodity with rising prices to match in these previously thought of “rural” areas. Prices in those areas have gone up as much as 47% in the past 5 years and they continue to rise according to Ottawa Real Estate Board data.

However, Ottawa as a whole has also risen in the real estate market in the past 5 years with 35 out of 60 neighbourhoods experiencing more than 20% increases in housing prices.

Here are the top 20 Ottawa neighbourhoods as of now according to the Ottawa Real Estate Board’s home price index benchmark:
